Chess tournament dedicated to the Independence Day of Azerbaijan was held in California

Chess tournament dedicated to the Independence Day of Azerbaijan was organized by the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles, Baku - San Diego Friendship Association and Coronado Public Library in San Diego, California.

On May 25, 40 young American chess players aged 8-18 competed in the "6th San Diego - Azerbaijan Youth Chess Tournament" dedicated to the 106th anniversary of Azerbaijan's Independence at the Coronado Library. Chess players who took the top 3 places were awarded diplomas and gifts by the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles, and all participants received commemorative gifts.

Participants of the tournament were informed about Azerbaijan's Independence Day, its history, and the development of chess sports in our country.
